About
Katia is an eclectic, classically trained, award winning harpist and composer. Through programming her own compositions, arrangements, and cross-genre repertoire (modern classical, jazz, or Celtic), she aims to share the harp's versatility and dynamism with audiences. Her current focus, Australian Harp Fest, sees her promoting Australian composition and working collaboratively with Australian artists, in order to foster a supportive and lively Australian harp scene.

Before dedicating herself to professional harp playing, Katia spent time learning languages, living overseas (in Spain, France, Germany and Croatia), teaching English as well as advocacy and activism for Human Rights causes. Her life experience has been important in fostering her creativity, work ethic, passion for music, and a desire to pass on what she has learnt to others.
